We are so thankful for everything that this year brought. There were a lot of ups and downs but we want to highlight some of our favorite shoots of the year. We can't wait to see what 2025 brings.

Dance

Our third year working with CCB has been another rewarding experience. It’s been a privilege to collaborate with a company that has played such an important role in our lives—from growing up as dancers to now contributing to their promotional needs through photography. We’re grateful to work with these artists and are looking forward to creating with them at our next season shoot!

turn up the Music!

It’s hard to put into words how much we enjoyed working with Bohemian Nights and Washington’s this year. Their dedication to bringing vibrant music and art to our community is truly inspiring. From photographing local artists to capturing performances by incredible acts like Non-Stop Bhangra, Lupe Fiasco, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and Tank and the Bangas, every moment was filled with energy and community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an exciting year of music and art.

ENERGY

It’s exciting to witness the progress toward clean energy in Northern Colorado, and the Black Hollow Solar project is a standout example. Set to become the largest solar farm in the region, this groundbreaking project in Severance is a significant step forward. We were honored to be part of the groundbreaking ceremony and to learn more about the immense effort and vision behind such an impactful initiative.

athletics

Jacob and I had the privilege of witnessing the incredible achievements of athletes pushing their limits this year at the Leadville Trail 100. Covering 100 miles of rugged trail and thousands of feet of elevation, these runners truly embody resilience and toughness. It was inspiring to photograph such remarkable feats of endurance.

In addition to being honored as one of NOCO Style Magazine’s 30 Under 30 this year, we had a wonderful time photographing the cover and headshots for the other honorees. This experience was a true highlight of our year. The team at NOCO Style, along with the 29 other inspiring individuals, made the entire process such a joy. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing celebration of local talent and achievement.

Gallery Work

This project with IMPACT Dance Company truly captured our heart and soul. In July 2023, I sat down over coffee with Judy Bejarano to discuss the idea of a joint performance and gallery exhibition, and from that moment, the vision began to take shape. This collaboration became one of the most exciting explorations we’ve had as photographers, and we are incredibly proud of the results. It was a joy to see the dancers bring the vision to life on stage and to witness the dedication and creativity they poured into our photoshoots. I’m deeply grateful to the dancers, Judy and Jenna for their time, artistry, and passion in helping create this unforgettable exhibit.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Laquatra of Majestyk Guitars through a mutual friend, and it’s been inspiring to collaborate with another entrepreneur so deeply connected to the performing arts. Jeff works with world-class luthiers to create one-of-a-kind, high-end guitars that are delivered right to your door. We thoroughly enjoyed working on this project with Jeff and are excited to see the incredible guitars he continues to bring to his business.

last but not least...

If you haven’t heard yet, Jacob and I have opened our own photo studio, available for rent! After many years of packing and unpacking our gear to take to clients, we’re excited to finally have a dedicated space to call our own. Located in the heart of Old Town, inside the Fort Collins Museum of Art, this new studio marks an exciting chapter for us. We’re looking forward to creating more memorable work in this inspiring location.
